God ROCKS!

While we were in Georgia this weekend I got to experience a Georgia vs. Florida football game at Jeff's house. Unfortunately for Jeff the Gators won! On Sunday the church there had Friend Day and I had the opportunity to speak to the Jr. High and High School kids. They had invited a lot of friends and there was over 150 of us in there. 5 or 6 kids raised their hand and looked up at me saying that they had received Christ, and 2 of them went to the back and confirmed this with one of the counselors!!

Another cool thing that happened was that I was able to meet Tim Lee again. Tim Lee is an Evangelist and he was the guy who preached way back when I was 14 and I got saved. I remember him talking about Vietnam and Hell, and man did he get my attention. More importanly God got my attention as well. I knew I wasn't saved, but was too afraid too go forward. After hearing him speak I was too afraid not to go forward. I got to talk to him yesterday and told him that I was saved while he was preaching at our church when I was a kid, I thought it was so cool that he was speaking to the adults and I was speaking to the teens at the same time. It was just cool to be able to minister at the same place he was and at the same time. He was really cool about it and said, "that made my day." He also told the church while speaking after lunch about it was well. I told him that I was saved when he was preaching, and that he had scaired the Hell out of me. He just laughed and said that he had mellowed out a little since then. He must still be doing a good job because 33 people got saved in the church that day.

God is Awesome and I pray someday I will be able to have some guy come up to me and say the same thing.

Traveling Adventure

Wow, what a weekend!

Friday morning at 8:00 Misti and I left our house and headed to the Philadelphia Airport. We found out ahead of time that our flight was going to be delayed a little so we took our time getting to the airport. Once we were there we waited a while and then headed to Atlanta. The plan was to fly from Atlanta to Savannah, Georgia and be there by 3:30 that afternoon....at least that was the plan.

After landing in Atlanta we noticed on the board that they had cancelled our flight to Savannah. After waiting in line forever to find out what was going on they told us that they had moved our original 2:00 flight to 4:00 then cancelled the flight. They said we could get on the 7:00 flight, but that was over-sold, so we could could fly out the next morning. Well, I was suppose to be at a 5th Quarter by 10:00 that night, so we had to rent a car and drive.

After reserving a car at the gate we walked to go get the car and to get our luggage. The line for Hertz, which is who the airlined recommended was super long, so I called them and cancelled my reservation and went to Alamo, since there was no line. After getting signed up for the car we waited for about an hour and a half for our luggage. On the bus to get the car I overheard a man say that he had tried to get a car with Hertz, but they were all out of cars. (Glad I cancelled and went with another rental company).

Finally at 4:30 we were leaving the airport with our rental car. The drive was suppose to take 4 hours, but due to all the rain and it being Friday and rush hour it took us 5 hours and I got to our hotel at 9:30 took a quick shower and go to the 5th Quarter at 10:05. What a day....Good thing....ONE KID GOT SAVED~! Makes it all worth it.

One of those days

Ever had one of those days that nothing seemed to go right? Yesterday was one of those days for me.

First off my alarm didn't go off so I woke up at 6:30 and I'm suppose to leave from the school at 6:45 to go pick up kids on the bus. Well I got here at 6:50 and got on the bus which didn't want to start, so I put the battery jumper on it and it still didn't want to start. I finally got another bus that wouldn't start and well the brakes on it didn't work too good so I had to down shift every time I came to a stop light.

Later that night we were going to another church to hear Jamey Ragle. We left about 30 minutes late because we were waiting on a few people. One of them I wasn't too sure was saved so I figure we could wait. She ended up getting saved last night!!! Well the bus that wouldn't start earlier that day was suppose to be fixed so we took it that night and it started and worked fine, but after the service we left, or I guess we tried to leave and it wouldn't start again. So...all of hitched a ride on another bus and made it home. Due to the fact that we were 30 minutes late some of the parents left and took their sweet little time getting back to the church and we were hanging out in front of the church until about 10:30 last night.

So...yesterday was one of those days, but hey it was worth it because quite a few people got saved!

GOD ROCKS!

Funny Stuff

When was the last time you laughed so hard you spewed milk or coke or whatever out of your mouth. The other night Misti and I went to NY to meet my brother and his wife and my OLD youth pastor and his wife. We went to see Stomp and then after the showe we just had some ice cream at MacDonald's. I made Shelley, my old youth pastor's wife, laugh so hard that she spewed milk all over my brother. There is just something about being with friends and being able to laugh so hard that you can't breathe. Misti always laughs at me when I get like that because my eyes start watering and I really look like a dork. If you've seen me like that you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Take some time and get with some friends and just laugh!
