Lost In Lima2

Hey, I am finally getting a chance to write something on here for all of you. Things don't always go as planned when you are on a missions trip.

Today--which is Friday, July 30th we were helping a brand new church. The church is only about 5 weeks old. They have been averaging about 2 to 3 families a week. We went around several neighborhoods and passed out flyers and tracts. We also set up the sound system and did our dramas, which is pretty much what we have been doing every day, just in different areas of Peru. There was about 20 people saved through out the day. Tonight we had a rally at their church and there were about 55 first time visitors. There were only 56 chairs, so all of us had to go upstairs and wait until the service was over. At the end of the service there were 30 people who got saved!

We have seen a lot of people get saved. Probably over 120! Everyone who is here is doing great and having a blast. Pretty tired, but after seeing so many people get saved you can't help but be pumped. Please continue to pray for us and pray that we will see many more saved.

We will have plenty of stories to tell you when we get back. Hopefully there will be a powerpoint presentation for you to watch this Sunday at church, so you better be there.

Talk to you later,
Michael

Lost In Lima

We are leaving TODAY! We will be headed for the airport in about 3 hours!

I hope that you will pray for us. A few things to pray for.

Pray that we see lots of people come to Christ.
Pray for our safety.
Pray for our  lives to be changed by God, not just a 3rd world experience.

Check back for more on our trip through out the week!

Friend

Who is your best friend? Why is that person or animal(you freak) your best friend?

John 15:15 says, "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you."

Jesus calls us his FRIEND! What an awesome thought, to think that Jesus Christ wants to be my friend. What kind of friend are you. Jesus says he will never leave us nor forsake us. We can always count on Him.

How much can Jesus count on you?

PERU TRIP

If you are a sports junkie you have seen the clip of Allen Iverson saying, "Practice, practice we're talking practice.

Well for those of you who are going to Peru we are talking PRACTICE.

This Saturday we are having practice for all of you who are in the drama
"Decision Time" We will meet at 11:00 a.m. and stay until you've learned it. We will buy pizza or something for lunch, don't worry we won't starve you to death. The key to this practice being short is you coming prepared. Watch the video I gave you and learn your part. If everyone comes and knows their part we could be here for just an hour and go out to eat. If you come and don't know your part we could be here FOREVER! This is the last Saturday we have before heading to Peru. I hope you are excited to learn it and understand how important this is in us being able to have a part in winning souls to Christ.

Sunday at 4:00 we will meet and practice for those of you who are in "The Redeemer". Same thing goes, come prepared! LEARN YOUR PART! The group in Texas has laid down the challenge that they will be better than us at the Redeemer, so we must beat them.

Honestly the important thing is that these are awesome tools to reach people for Christ. The videos may look cheesy, okay they do look cheesy. BUT I've seen first hand how powerful these can be on the mission field. Both times we did them in the Philippines they were aweomse. These dramas have been used by youth groups all over the world. Please put the time and effort into learning these.

I know you guys will ROCK!

Deep Thought

I was reading an email I received today, and thought I would share this deep thought with you.

If we aren't supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat?

Wow, that is deep. Hope you have an awesome day today. Not sure what you can do on a rainy day like this, but I'm sure you can think of something.
Makes me glad I wasn't stuck on that boat with Noah!

Love ya,

I'm Back

Hey, I hope you are having an awesome summer. I tried to write some stuff when I was in Texas, but I couldn't remember my login name! I know, I'm and idiot.

Texas was, well HOT. I got to speak at a camp there, and that is the first time I have ever spoke at a camp. I was pretty stinkin nervous. A lot of pressure to no be a dork and stink it up at camp. There were 15 kids that got saved! Quite a few kids that surrendered to full-time ministry and a bunch of kids who re-dedicated their lives.

Well, that is all for today. I haven't written anything in a long time, so I don't want to overwhelm you on the my first day back.

Have a great one, and don't forget the sunscreen!
