10 Day Challenge

Today is day 6 of the 10 Day Challenge! I pray that those of you who took the challenge are staying strong.

10 Day Challenge...Too get rid of the worldly influences in our lives for 10 days and see if we are better off by focusing on God and his Word rather than the world's influcens and lifestyle. The idea of this was taken from Daniel and the 3 boy's when they wouldn't eat the King's Meat and Wine for 10 days! They were much better off by following God than the king.

Please Pray

I am just asking for prayer for our family right now. As most of you know we have been praying for a child for a long time. Derek is now 8 years old and God has not seen fit to give us a child for whatever reason. A while back Misti finally got pregnant again only to lose the baby at 7 weeks. I have no idea why God allowed this to happen, but he did, and we accept that. We have thought about looking into adoption, but just never had a peace about it or the money to really look into it. We figured if God wanted us to have a baby naturally or through adoption that he would work it out.

Well...we might be adopting a baby. Please pray that God's will work out in this whole situation. Pray that we will be okay with whatever God's will is. We will be flying to meet the parents next week so pray for that as well.

Pray that God will provide the $ necessary for this.

Long Day

Have you ever had one of those days that just never seemed to end. Yesterday was like that for me. I got up at 3:30 in the morning so I could get to Philly for my 6:00 a.m. flight. Then I got to Atlanta, Georgia for my 3 hour layover, oh what fun that was. I then flew to Kansas City where I got my rental car (dodge charger) and drove around and waited for a couple hours for Misti's flight to arrive from Denver, Colorado. Once she got there we drove 3 hours to Springfield. We had about 30 minutes to get ready for the big pastor's meeting. After sitting through that service I had to go to a meeting with the BIG 45 pastors who represent our fellowship and I have to say that was rather boring. After that meeting I got to go to another Missions meeting. I finally got back to the hotel around 11:30 then stayed up until around 2:30 talking with my brother. So, my 24 hour day finally came to an end and I got to sleep until 10:30 this morning. Well that was my day!

If you are ever in the Atlanta Airport get a Steak, Egg and Cheese sandwich from Charlies Steak place..can't rememeber the exact name, but man that was stinkin good.
