I remember back when I was a senior in High School, yes that was a long time ago.
Yes, as we learned on Sunday, I was in School back when the principal could still take out the old paddle and whoop your bootie.
Yes, I am OLD!
Yes, when I was in High School me and some of my friends stole that stupid paddle.
Yes, I went to See You At The Pole.
Now for some reason my Long term memory just isn't very good. I don't remember a lot of details from when I was a kid, or in high school, or even in college. No, it's not because I'm old, I just don't have a good long term memory. Someone told me before that twins don't have a good long term memory, becaue they are watching it through their twin at the same time or something freaky like that. For whatever the reason I don't remember a lot. Now, Misti on the other hand remembers everything! But my point is this. Although I don't remember much, there is one thing I do remember. So let me tell you about it.
It was a chili Wednesday morning. It was the 3rd Wednesday of September, 1990! WoW! It was 7:00 in the morning and my friends, Kevin, Darla and I were headed to the Flag pole. I was a little nervous because going to your flag pole and prayjng just didn't seem to be the cool thing do to in high school. I remember thinking who will see me, will that hot chick I have my eye on see me? There were probably only about 5-10 of us there, again my long term memory isn't perfect! But I do remember feeling a sense of accomplishment that day. No, I hadn't won any one to Christ, I hadn't actually dunked a basketball, but I had taken a stand at my flagpole. This Wednesday you have the same opportunity. Sure, that girl or guy might see you and think you're a freak, someone might laugh at you, but who cares. You have a chance to take a stand and pray for your school. Don't miss this opportunity!
