My Stomach

Being a twin I've been asked plenty of times if I feel it when my brother, who is 1,000's of miles away, gets hurt. This last week my brother was having some stomach problems and he told me that he was headed home because he was sick. He said he was going to take a Laxative....I was like dude, you must be sick. If you know me or my brother you understand that we just don't take that stuff. We have no need to take that. I took a small piece once when my Grandma made me and well let's just say it was not a good idea!

My brother ended up having his appendix taken out on Sunday, so I have been curious to whether or not that means I need to be ready to have mine yanked out. I guess we will wait and see.

Not sure what this has to do with anything going on in your world, but hey it's my blog, right!

SYATP

I remember back when I was a senior in High School, yes that was a long time ago.
Yes, as we learned on Sunday, I was in School back when the principal could still take out the old paddle and whoop your bootie.
Yes, I am OLD!
Yes, when I was in High School me and some of my friends stole that stupid paddle.
Yes, I went to See You At The Pole.

Now for some reason my Long term memory just isn't very good. I don't remember a lot of details from when I was a kid, or in high school, or even in college. No, it's not because I'm old, I just don't have a good long term memory. Someone told me before that twins don't have a good long term memory, becaue they are watching it through their twin at the same time or something freaky like that. For whatever the reason I don't remember a lot. Now, Misti on the other hand remembers everything! But my point is this. Although I don't remember much, there is one thing I do remember. So let me tell you about it.

It was a chili Wednesday morning. It was the 3rd Wednesday of September, 1990! WoW! It was 7:00 in the morning and my friends, Kevin, Darla and I were headed to the Flag pole. I was a little nervous because going to your flag pole and prayjng just didn't seem to be the cool thing do to in high school. I remember thinking who will see me, will that hot chick I have my eye on see me? There were probably only about 5-10 of us there, again my long term memory isn't perfect! But I do remember feeling a sense of accomplishment that day. No, I hadn't won any one to Christ, I hadn't actually dunked a basketball, but I had taken a stand at my flagpole. This Wednesday you have the same opportunity. Sure, that girl or guy might see you and think you're a freak, someone might laugh at you, but who cares. You have a chance to take a stand and pray for your school. Don't miss this opportunity!

Taco Bell Blunder

Have you ever done something that maed you look like a complete idiot. Well the other day at Taco Bell was one of those moments for me.

Meagan and Christina were going through the drive thru as Corey and I were finishing our food. We had just devoured the Grande Combo and were filling a little stuffed and gassy. I carried the tray with all our trash, which included about 20-30 empty sauce packets. The girls waved at me and so as cool as I can I lifted my left hand up to wave, and then it happened. My left hand hit the tray and packets went flying everywhere. The girls that were sitting across from the trash can didn't seem to be too amused when packed flew all over their table and at their feet. The man sitting next to them seemed to think it was pretty funny. I apologized and bent over to start picking the stuff up. I was praying that Meagan and Christina hadn't see what had just happened. After picking the stuff up and giving them enough time to drive off I looked up and there they were. Just laughging and pointing at me! They had seen.

Oh well, live is too short not to enjoy it. Even if you do make a fool of yourself.
